  1. Hehehe... I'm tempted to suggest the word verification I'm being given right now, because it's just so pronoucable: pigzwam. Seriously, I'm not making this up. However, I fear this won't be considered theologically or locationally relevant, so I'll retract that, and suggest:

    Superior Christian Church.

Wait - that's maybe a little too assuming.

How about Rock Creek Church? Rock Creek Christian Church? Or RC^3?

    Too nerdy?

Church of the Rock. (I think this one sounds familiar to me from somewhere in Ontario.)

Boulder Valley Christian Church? Is that taken?

I'll keep working on it. ;)

    I checked...
Then I checked again, and yep still not one.

    "Superior Foundations Fellowship"

Fellowship Bible Church (not one of these here either!)

    "Kelly's Cronies" (my personal fave)

"Oh we wretched and Depraved", Boulder Valley Church of the fallen. (That will draw a crowd!!)

Harvester Rock Church (harvest rock church is taken & copyrighted)

the words life, rock, harvest and salvation keep going through my mind...

  16. Anna suggests "The Greenhouse", because, you know, we live in a green house and we want people to grow spiritually, get it?

My brother Jeff suggests the following:

    Step One Baptist Church
    The Sanctuary

My 11 year old friend Katie suggests:
Stone Ground Church (like the mustard)
    Sacred Journey
    The Journey

Friends from the camping trip said that it didn't really matter if church was in the name, but valued the following:
    Simplicity
    Inclusivity
Not having the word "community" in the name

  17. And the winner is...

    Christchurch.

Like the town in New Zealand. Like the college at Oxford. The 20-somethings think it's really cool. I can't believe we went with one of those one-word names, but I'm actually very happy with it because it helps point people to Jesus and it has church in the name. And we can play with the idea of place as we design a graphic identity.

    What do you think?
